Net reserve remains distinct from gross productive exposure.
Reserve leverage can make reserve capital work harder, while increasing drawdown, deleveraging, and liquidation risk.
The ratio
Reserve leverage equals gross exposure divided by net reserve capital. A $2 million net reserve with $3 million gross exposure operates at 1.5×.
Not a leveraged token
The leverage belongs to the reserve balance sheet. It does not multiply the number of tokens held by users and does not make gross exposure equivalent to backing.
